What is personal data?
According to the ‘BDSG’ (Federal Data Protection Act), personal data includes any information concerning the personal and/or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual. Depending on the contract, this information may include the individual’s name, address, date of birth, profession and bank details and/or particularly sensitive data, such as information regarding the individual’s health, income or creditworthiness. All such data must be handled with the utmost care in accordance with the ‘BDSG’; we have all necessary technical and organisational measures in place to guarantee compliance.
Collection of personal data
In the majority of cases, we do not need to collect data from the people visiting our website. Such visits are, therefore, absolutely anonymous as defined by the latest ‘BDSG’ (Federal Data Protection Act).
However, if you wish to contact us, you need to leave the public section of our website. Use of our website in this way is subject to explicit voluntary consent to the collection, use and processing of your personal data, insofar as it serves the purpose of your contractual or fiduciary relationship.
Processing of personal data
Your personal data is only stored on in-house computers that are not connected to the Internet. Strict in-house regulations determine under what circumstances your personal data may be read and/or processed and such data is only ever used for the purpose, for which you provided it to us. No personal information is ever sold, exchanged or rented to third parties outside the agency and the companies of the REMONDIS Group. It is only used internally to provide you with comprehensive customer support if you have given your consent for us to do so.
Security of personal data
Your personal data, which you submit to us as part of a closed user group together with your consent that it may be collected, processed and used, is sent to our computer system via the Internet where it is stored and backed up. (Exception: data transmitted by email).
The right to access and alter stored personal data
In accordance with Sections 34 and 6b of the ‘BDSG’ (Federal Data Protection Act), you have the right to receive information about the data we have stored about your person free of charge.
